Diary of an Unemployed Citizen 005

Quite an uneventful day. One young lad made the whole day memorable by being the very first person yet to offer me, a temporary Package Orderly, something to drink. I considered it, but I politely declined, as most in such a situation do. I am not certain why I refused - perhaps I wished for a snack rather than something to drink, already having my own water. But I guess that is part of why it is not normally too difficult to be nice, most people will appreciate the sentiment without taking you up on the offer.

As today's route concludes, I regret my previous note. There are no unremarkable days. Only selfish myopathy claims the contrary. Saturday evening, at least in these Chicano neighbourhoods of the valley, means _cervezas y musica_ in the front yard. _CumpleaƱos_ BBQs in the community parks. Children racing _bicis in _de straat_. I witness the joy of a young drone pilot, not yet ten years of age, piloting his first take-off. And there, just towards the East, a flock of birds do the same. A fleet three score strong, flying in formation towards the sunset in search of better feeding grounds.

And all this majesty and grandeur was allowed to continue again today. I pray that it will tomorrow.

There are surely no unremarkable days in this world.
