Been a while since I surfed good 'ol Geminispace. Things have been pretty busy, and I've just been distracted by so many other things as well.
Took an impromptu vacation last weekend to see my friend. It was a long drive, but man, did I have a great time hanging out! The trip helped me remember how much I enjoy a good road trip, so I think I am going to want to do more of these as time (and money) permits.
So I got myself an 8BitDo Retro Keyboard and I am absolutely loving it. Even now, I am typing on it and love the clickety clackety sound of the mechanical keys! Cause I'm old school, I got the M Edition and it so takes me back! The ONLY thing I am not fond of is the fact that it doesn't have a number keypad, but it's definitely something I am learning to do without. Of course, they are now making keyboards WITH the numpad, so I was kinda peeved about that. If they make the M Edition version, I most likely will get that and perhaps gift this one to someone.
I still can't believe that we are in November already. Though I don't mind this time of year, I just feel like the year has flown by and I've not been able to accomplish much of anything. Of course, this is not true since I was able to purchase a home late last year and have slowly been making it home. Still, I need to get on it and make things happen. Like rake the leaves all over my front and back yard!
Speaking of my home, my backyard has is fenced in, and one of the posts is loose, so the fence is falling towards my neighbor's yard. The previous owner "fixed" it by nailing a long piece of wood to a smaller stake to hold it in place. I may try to fix THAT getup for the moment until I figure out and can afford fixing it. Once I do, I think the whole cost falls on me, as it's my fence. I think? I dunno how that works. Also, if I decided to fix and restore the one I do have, I'm gonna have to talk to the neighbors. Home ownership, right?
I've been ordering McDonald's Happy Meals to collect the Mario Kart toys. I've yet to get Mario, but got Toad and TWO Gold Princess Toadstools. I was told that Mario is no longer available; hopefully that's not true.
