Galway lotto player wins €250,000 prize!

A lucky lotto player in Galway scooped a €250k prize in this week’s Lotto

draw, sure to be a happy camper heading into the weekend.

In a huge win, a Galway player struck gold in the Lotto Plus 2 draw,

bagging €250,000.

Their winning Quick Pick ticket was purchased on the day of the draw at

SuperValu, Loughrea Shopping Centre, Athenry Road, Loughrea, Co. Galway.

The winning numbers in Wednesday night’s ( 25th September) Lotto Plus 2

draw were: 23, 26, 29, 30, 40, 42 and the Bonus was 39.

This marks the second major win for a Galway player in less than two

weeks, following a massive €1,005,000 victory in the special EuroMillions

Ireland Only Raffle on Friday, 13th September.

The main €5 million jackpot in Wednesday night’s draw was won by a

Limerick player, who became the 7th Lotto Jackpot winner of 2024.

They join the ranks of six other big winners from across the country,

including Dublin (4), Louth, and another Limerick victor earlier this

year. This latest win also makes the Limerick player the 26th National

Lottery millionaire of 2024.

The winning numbers in last night’s (Wednesday 25th September) main Lotto

draw were: 1, 7, 17, 20, 22, 31 and the Bonus was 35.

National Lottery spokesperson Sarah Ruane commented: “What an incredible

night for Limerick and Galway players, with two life-changing wins.”

“We now have a Limerick player who’s €5.5 million richer, claiming the

title of the 26th National Lottery millionaire so far this year, and a

Galway player securing a fantastic €250,000 prize.”

The National Lottery is urging all Lotto players from Limerick and Galway

who purchased tickets for Wednesday night’s Lotto and Lotto Plus 2 draws

to check their them very carefully as they’ve both won very substantial

prizes.

The winners should sign the back of their tickets and keep it somewhere

safe. They should make contact with the National Lottery prize claims team

on 1800 666 222 or email claims@lottery.ie and arrangements will be made

for them to collect their prize in Lotto HQ.
