Man appears in court after gardaí in Limerick find five blocks of cocaine on him

A MAN in his 20s was arrested in Limerick city after he was found to

have cocaine worth €90k on him which gardaí seized.

Gardaí attached to Mayorstone garda station in the city carried out a

person search under the Misuse of Drugs Act on a man “who they believed

was acting suspiciously”.

He has since been charged and has appeared in court in Limerick.

During the course of the search, five blocks of suspected cocaine with

a combined value of over €90,000 were discovered and seized, gardaí

have confirmed.

“With the assistance of the Divisional Drugs Unit at Henry St garda

station, the man was subsequently arrested, charged and appeared before

a sitting of Limerick District Court earlier in the week.”
