Wanted to show the kids a view of Venus before their bedtime. It was a much better view than in March last year. At that time I reported seeing a "blue" color, but now I'm thinking that was probably chromatic aberration from the ST80. The color this time was very yellow, and while I was still getting hints of blue, they were much reduced. The crescent of the dark side of the planet was evident and helped give the planet "volume". I want to try Venus again under better and darker conditions!

Found just above the middle of the back of Leonis. AV was not necessary for detection. A bright core can be seen. AV reveals up to three more bright spots forming almost a straight line that runs across the oval shape.
