I have also bought a refurbished mini-pc: a 6th generation i5 with 8Gbs and a NVME drive for ..... 98 (shipping included). It came with Windows 11, but I have installed Linux Mint on it. It will handle some automation work that I would like to have on a separate machine. The power consumption is really low, and using it I'll be able to free up cpu/ram resources that are being used by a linux virtual machine I'm running on the NAS right now.
TBH, finding reasons to use raspberry pis is getting harder and harder.
