In a way, it is respectable to work so hard, but accepting it as a part of life is, in my opinion, spineless.
The culture that has been ingrained into international students, you might argue, is born out of necessity. Maybe I am speaking from a position of privilege. Maybe spending years raging against the machine isn't good for you.
In that case, it only seems right that I fight for them. Taking risks where they can't afford to.
I'd rather leave this damn country than scab.
