New phone is here. Setting it all up was *tedious*. I hope this lasts me at least 5 years.

@melyanna, nice, that sounds like a good plan. I鈥檝e been considering switching out my phone for a light phone or something, but there鈥檚 just enough keeping me in the walled garden not to switch. I should pay attention to my phone overheating lol 路 2 weeks ago
@eph I'll try not to kill it with over-use, pay attention when it warms up (if), take care of the battery (though at least in these phones it can be replaced easily), and limit the amount of stuff I install on it. When my previous phone died unexpectedly and I was stuck withmy work phone for a few days (which I do not want to look at unless necessary and on which I do not want to have any personal stuff) I realised how dependent I had gotten from my phone. Half the stuff I was doing on it I don't need to do and I can focus on other things instead. 路 2 weeks ago
Nice! The last android I had before getting sucked into the iGarden was a BlackBerry. What鈥檙e your longevity plans for the phone? 路 2 weeks ago
@melyanna i hate it ;) motorola stock android is my fav... 路 2 weeks ago
@jo yep, I can't think about going through that now that I have just finished setting the phone up, but I see myself flashing it at some point in the future for the same reason. 路 2 weeks ago
@bavarianbarbarian how are you liking the Samsung stock Android? It's extremely customised and it gets on my nerves a bit (my work phone is a Samsung). 路 2 weeks ago
i recently got a fairphone and had a redmi before. I really miss MiUI as I havent used regular Android for years and so many things about this OS are massively annoying. i may have to set everything up AGAIN after flashing a different OS because i cant live like this 路 2 weeks ago
i just 'upgraded' to a samsung s10 xD a major upgrade to my old redmi that has become pida over the years... 路 2 weeks ago
