The first deployment went pretty smoothly. Even though I wasn't the initial person in charge of the operation and my role mainly involved issuing and revoking permits and making sure everything was set up after the deployment, I felt like I was in sync with the team. Then, we had a stubborn Jboss that refused to restart, some minor tasks that felt like I was overthinking them, and a packer ready to test creating an ovf machine.

All good stuff, but with only four hours of sleep, it was tough to stay focused. Why, you ask? Well, for the love of it and out of sheer desperation, I decided to dive into studying Snort, the network intrusion detection system that seems easy but is actually quite challenging. My little Raspberry Pi 4, running Kali Linux, was almost overheating tonight, but eventually, I surrendered to the arms of Morpheus with a promise: I need more rules.

For those who can relate, you know what I mean.
