The game that The Gaming Den originated from, Sonic Robo Blast 2 is a platformer game based on the DOOM engine. While the server originally started as a Co-op server, this later on drifted off as a Hangout server due to a change of interest as well as player demand, as Hangout servers tend to be quite popular amongs SRB2 players.

We Have to Dig Deeper is a custom Minetest mod where the goal is to try to survive for a long as possible, staying away from the surface toxin that makes it's way down underground. Once you die, your run will end and you will become a spectator, and the game ends once there's only one player left, or in the case of a solo run, the only player alive dies. The world is generated anew every round with a random seed, so no round will ever be the same.

The first chat created for The Gaming Den, originally used as a service to be able to get in contact with moderators easily. After the chat got bridged to in-game, though, it's become more of a general-purpose chat room for anyone to join.
Being possibly the first Matrix room to have in-game chat bridged to Matrix, this is where the large part of the community is present. Note that thanks to the bridge, you can still talk to Matrix users from IRC if that is what you prefer to use.
