However, I just went through the same deal with a 1964 Fender Champ. I E-mailed with a lot of people on this, and the concensus was that I should get a recone if I had the original speaker, which unfortunately I didn't. I did a lot of shopping and finally bought the Kendrick replacement speaker. It sounds good. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- From: analogmike@aol.com (AnalogMike) Subject: Reconing speakers question Date: 26 Dec 1994 10:48:09 -0500 RE : Speaker reconing. Hi, thanks for reading this. There is a company selling a video and recone kit for do-it-yourself reconing. It is about the same price for me to get the video and 3 kits as it would be to pay someone to recone my 3 blown 10" speakers. He said it is not difficult to rebuild speakers, and only 2 customers were not satisfied with their results. The kit is supposed to come with cone, spider, voice ciol, dust cover, wires, adhesives, and everything you need except a few common tools and a butter knife and clothspins. Has anyone tried rebuilding speakers? Is it feasable, and what kind of results did you have? Thanks for any help on this subject.
