Will I find the kind of virtual community I was looking for on Tripod or Tribe or even ICQ, or even whatever that was before Tripod? I doubt it.

At least this is not hosted by corporate media vulnerable to blackmail by people with agendas. Or, feeling free to express myself as a pedant, agendae. And when and if I wish to pop a link into one of them, I can.
