What would it take to get an astro/cosmonaut on the ISS to start/maintain a capsule, and post on station?

I think they still have time to spare there and I think they miss interaction with humans other than crew members.

Gemini and small web aren't addictive or intrusive like "big" web or social media, so I think they might like it 馃榿 路 2 months ago

I think the lite factor is good. It's a time to spend thing. They have and are ham radio operators with equipment up there. It's not always on because of mission needs. They used to have a VHF Packet BBS but that's been taken away in favor of APRS which is automated. There's a voice repeater on board and sometimes you'll head earth traffic thru it and sometimes the crew. There was a sked program for school kids even. So it's always about crew spare time. https://www.ariss.org/contact-the-iss.html 路 2 months ago

than poking around on a niche part of an already niche fork of the internet.

I wonder if the low-bandwidth requirements for gemini would make a fault-tolerant internet more reasonable from the ISS. On the other hand, if you were in space, maybe you'd want to be doing other things than poking around on a niche part of an already niche fork of the internet. 路 2 months ago
