I keep seeing all of this injustice and corruption everywhere I look. I always thought that I'd feel better once I turned 18 and would be able to vote and drink and stuff; but I still feel as powerless as ever. I sometimes have dreams about randomly catching a train to London and doing something practical; but that's pretty damn unrealistic. What the fuck can I do to make things better?

I've just realised that my current PC setup is very German. I'm using a German search engine (MetaGer) and a German email provider (Posteo) on a German Linux distro (openSUSE) and developing several webpages, which are all hosted in Germany, whilst tooting on a Mastodon instance which is also hosted in Germany (according to Flagfox).

I've just transferred all of my serious projects on Codeberg over to a separate organisation, and I've noticed that there are now only two mediocre repos on my main profile. Does anyone have any ideas for simple, handy things I could build to flesh it out? I code mainly in Python, I know HTML (but not JS), I regularly use Bash and Zsh, and I am learning C++.

So I'm at my gran's right now and the main fuse has blown. While we wait for Northern Powergrid to arrive, my dad's taken the liberty of changing the socket behind the sofa, since the old one is broken. Anyway, it turns out that none of her sockets are earthed, so it's a miracle nobody's been electrocuted in the 60+ years the family's been living here.
