gemini.koplugin 0.2
Announcing an update to the gemini plugin for KOReader.
gemini.koplugin
Main news since 0.1:
- Added scheme proxy support: You can now configure proxies to handle non-gemini schemes. Combined with a server running Agena and/or Duckling-proxy, or Stargate, this lets you browse gopher and even the WWW. KOReader's html rendering is good enough that `duckling-proxy --unfiltered` makes for a surprisingly usable web browser.
- Added input history, and automatically editing last input/URL on error.
- Improved discoverability of basic and advanced functionality, with a welcome page on first use and a cog icon on the nav dialog to toggle showing advanced (long-press) button actions.
Agena: proxy server software for gopher
Duckling-proxy: proxy server software for http(s)
Stargate: public http(s) proxy
I'm thinking that this is nearly ready for a pull request to the koreader project. It will be interesting to see what the maintainers make of it. So if you have any feedback, please let me know soon. Even just knowing whether it works on your device could be helpful.
