Donal O'Regan, 24 Aug

WHERE else could you get a new job, buy a tractor, keep the children

entertained for free, see the best cattle and horses in the country,

attend a fashion show, enjoy live music and dancing, and lots more in

the one place?

Up to 15,000 visitors, 1,000 competitors and 150 trade exhibitors will

descend on the racecourse this Sunday, August 25 to experience the AMCS

Limerick Show, which aims to bring the people of the city and county

together.

From the careers village to the catwalk to the Kids Zone to the

sustainability marquee and AgTech Hub, there is something for

everyone. The HSE is even providing a vaccination clinic for measles.

This is on top of an indoor and outdoor retail village, artisan food

stalls, arts and crafts, photography, baking and horticulture

exhibits.

You can leave the car at home as the show provides a complimentary bus

from the city to and from the showgrounds, departing from the Gaelic

Grounds at 11am/1pm, Parkway Shopping Centre at 11.30am/1.30pm and

Crescent Shopping Centre at 12pm/2pm. Return journeys commence from

3pm.

President of Limerick Show, Leo Walsh, said the event has always been

about showcasing the very best of Limerick and the surrounding areas.

“We hope that this year, more than ever, people will come out and

support the local farmers, producers and exhibitors that will be on

display,” said Mr Walsh.

He stressed that children under 16 get free entry and there is lots to

entertain them in the Kids Zone, sponsored by O Sullivan's Centra,

Clarina, with amusements, magic show, pony rides, animal farm and

kiddies train. Next stop, Limerick Show!
