Rocketbook

As often happens, Google figures out something about me and then runs with it. While being a techie I have always prefered note taking and life management to be analog. The idea that my life gets held up due to dead batteries just might be my only fear.

A few weeks all ads from Google

were directing me to the digital note book reMarkable. e-ink, hand writing to OCR, the idea of this device could give me the ability to merge my two world's together.

That was until I saw the price tag. The cheapest package was $300 USD. Big ol' nope from me.

A few days later an Amazon

package arrived in the mail. As a holiday gift my manager had bought the team each their own Rocketbook. It is a 20 sheet spiral bound notebook with wet erase pages. A moble app allows

for the pages to be scanned, digitized and sent to a handful of online services.

I am currrently writing this post using my new note book. The only issue I am seeing is there isn't an output option to creat just a text file. The output services are all companies I would typically not use besides email and Nextcloud.

Oh and the OCR is still not that great but will most likely get better.
