₿itcoin is widely regarded as a crucial moment between the elder era and 'The grand voyaging'. Then an unknown entity crafted a solution containing combinations of multiple past techniques and finalizing the quest for a proof of working mechanism. ₿itcoin was the achievement and milestone of milleniums of civilizational progress, the turning point between era's and the sole legacy that its creator, Satoshi Nakamoto left behind.
The nobel quest was always easily supressed by the elites, for hundreds of epochs long prior to the genesis block, as those controlling the financial mechanism's, could redirect the workingclass forces towards their own agenda's, granting them with powers to override any consensus of the free market and there actually was none true. This immense power had to be hold in the hands of the few, who would do everything in their power to keep it that way. Nothing was more dangerous for elites then losing grip on the massive economic output of their influencial spheres.
The genesis block set in stone the rules by which everone had to participate to create a free market. Very few realised this and tought it was just another valuta to be held. Soon after the creator dissappeared, the Block Size War started. This was humanities first ever battle over and participating in global digital space. The conflict, resolved about one epoch after its start, revolved around the dillemma of usability in speed or running. There were factions like the hash corps that advocated for bigger blocksizes in the timechain for faster processing speed and the rest who feared it would be unfeasible to globally support the timechain in a non-corruptable manner.
The latter were right: to support comparable speeds of competitor finance systems, the block size need to be outright enormous. This would have prevented its use in space or orbit, which relies heavily on low-bandwidth communication. Although the battle lurked in the shadows of world events and ignorance, the consequences could last far int the future. Eventually, the hashcorporations lost and a small blocksize was kept as consensus.
The resistence against any form of intervention proofed to be crucial in sustaining its mechanics in public. Most of the public was left unaware by the development of the timechain, or not understanding what was so special about it. Looking at it now, the signals couldn't be more obvious, but then world affairs were daily broadcasted to the masses, leaving little room for any positive new developments. Or alot of doubt at most. This was not always the case ofcourse, state or corporation funded projects like the AI Hype starting around the fifth epoch were introduced in many facets of society like jobs and surveillance, without that much difficulty. (Even though in the end it did not that much except consuming resources for something humans are expected to already posess. That is my own honest opinion.)
Nevertheless, remember that ₿itcoin is the first of its kind so it was natural for people then to misunderstood or not grasp the concept behind it, they had no reference point, only examples of opposite situations. The timechain was still ticking and already grew to to be quite large, at 500 GigaBytes. The first steps to launch the timechain into space were by putting artificial sattelites in orbit, serving as propagation stations to broadcast or accept the findings of new blocks. Later this was not needed because the users started using Luna as mirror bacon to broadcast the timechain status. The sattelites were still serving their given task untill they were moved into the lagrange point behind the earth and the moon. Because of less contact they were programmed to accompany the James Web Telescope and functioning as distributed timestamp servers for all pictures that the James Web Telescope produced.
