The construction of 42 residential units has been proposed for a site
on the Curragh Road in Athgarvan.
A planning permission application currently with Kildare County Council
(KCC) shows that Voussoir Developments Limited intends to construct the
units at 'a site of approx. 1.69 hectares at Curragh Road, Athgarvan,
Newbridge, County Kildare.'
The application notes that this site is 'generally bounded by the
Curragh Road to the north, agricultural lands to the south and west and
existing residential development to the east.'
Voussoir Devlopments Ltd is seeking permission for the construction of
42 residential units in the form of:
* Eight (Type B) two-bedroom mid-terrace houses (two storeys)
* 22 (Types C1 and C2) three-bedroom semi-detached houses (two
storeys)
* 12 (Type D) four-bedroom semi-detached houses (three storeys); all
with associated private amenity garden areas.
The company is also seeking permission for:
* Approx. 2,376 square meters of public open space
* Approx. 737 sqm of communal open space
* The provision of 81 car parking spaces (80 standard spaces and one
accessible space) and 12 secure visitor bicycle parking spaces
* One new vehicular access / egress point via the Curragh Road
* Two ESB substation kiosks
* The diversion of 38kv ESB overhead lines underground
* The erection of one new mast (approx 12m);
* Site development and infrastructural works providing for water,
foul and surface water drainage and all associated connections
* All landscaping and boundary treatment works, relating to the
installation of public lighting PV/solar panels, internal roads and
footpaths
* All associated site clearance, excavation and site development
works
The date received is listed as August 8 last.
The submission-by and due dates are listed as September 11 and October
2 respectively.
