Kildare rescue puppy looking for a new home

Niamh O'Donoghue, 18 Aug

Dylan is one of a litter of five lurcher puppies in our care, who will

soon be ready for new homes.

They are all male, all are black in colour, and were born in early

June. They are completely adorable and are receiving great attention

and care at our shelter.

Please be aware that these pups will most likely grow to be fairly tall

dogs. The stereotypical lurcher is a low-maintenance lazy dog, who

loves a comfy couch and will only need one walk a day. They will make

great companions. They are not suitable for homes with very young

children, as they will have sharp little puppy teeth in the immediate

future. Visit our website for details.

Mondello

We are very grateful to Mondello Park for inviting our charity to be

part of their weekend Historic Racing Festival. It was a brilliant two

day event in bright sunshine. We usually bring some rescue dogs to our

events but car racing was not considered a suitable venue for animals.

Thanks to Roddy Greene the General Manager in Mondello for being so

helpful with our fundraising.

Buy a Block

We launched our ‘Buy a Block’ campaign at the Mondello event to raise

funds for our new shelter, subject to getting planning permission.

Everyone who buys a block provides their name, and all of the names

will be placed on a feature wall in the new building. The first people

to purchase a €10 block were Linda Durneen and Oonagh Parkes from

Cavan.
