I use this tarot deck called the Collective Tarot and I'm not great at it. I usually just do a simple 3 card spread, or even just draw one card out of the middle. The 3 card spread is like a past/present/future thing, and the single card is a self check-in. But yesterday I tried a four card spread, where the first one is the situation, the second is the obstacle, the third is the recommended action, and the fourth is the anticipated outcome. I wasn't sure whether to do a three-card or four-card spread, so I did a 3-card first. I wasn't feeling it so I re-shuffled and tried the four-card spread. Both times I drew the same card as the 2nd card. It's the inverted 6 of Bottles. It's got a guy under water with an octopus obscuring his view. Its significance is that you can't see where you're going and all of the different options before you are actually identical, but this is obscured from your view. The suggestion is to move forward with good intentions rather than as a goal-oriented movement.
Why did I draw it twice? And why did I draw it the day before as well? I don't know. The day before I drew it upright, and then yesterday I drew it inverted twice. I'm not well-versed enough to know how to interpret that across days and spreads. I hope to be someday though.
I also ordered a couple of other tarot decks: the
