anecdotally, that one famous person
horribly irritated at the last gas station in Texas
needs context  �� it wasn ��t them, that they were known
that their large sugar-pop was delivered small
no ice, in lidless waxed paper cup
straw almost an afterthought

no, the insult was more prolonged
one owner, their own employee
streamlining ordering
saving money

their dislike of customers purely incidental
expressed not in small drinks
but in the superfluous straw
their thousand-yard smile
piercing everyone
