maybe you did have written confirmation
somewhere on brown butcher paper, all wrapped up
but consistency of custard does not make salmon
nor does lemon baked atop somehow attain dinner
with pardon, I beg leave to violate your grounds anew
or a shrubbery will do, please construe my apologies
to imply that salmonella was more likely
than your chef having passed muster
