Stop Licking The Books

it ��s elsewhere written
some gods are safer to taunt than others
asking what could possibly go wrong
ignoring that sinking feeling
saying strictures ain ��t no thing

for this reason
our field manual states with clarity
boxed half a page, big orange letters
do not invoke experimentation
unless you ��re utterly sure your gods
are the harmless ones

do not call them safe
retain polite concern, some veneration
keep them company

we don ��t say
stop asking the editors
for a list

because the gods
whose dignity you ��ve bent
in that moment
aren ��t on it
