GARDAÍ seized a “large quantity” of suspected controlled drugs from a
man in Limerick city centre last week.
The man was stopped and searched by patrolling gardaí as part of
ongoing investigations into drug sale and supply in Limerick city
centre.
It is suspected that the man was carrying crack cocaine and heroin. An
Garda Síochána has said that the drugs will now be analysed, the
results of which will determine the course of the investigation.

An Instagram post made by @gardainsta_limerick detailed the drug
seizure. The full caption reads:
“As part of ongoing investigations into the sale and supply of
controlled drugs in Limerick City Centre, members attached to Community
Policing, Henry Street on beat patrol stopped & searched a male in
Limerick City Centre last week and seized a large quantity of suspected
Crack Cocaine and Heroin from him. The suspected controlled drugs will
now be sent for analysis, where the course of the investigation will be
determined.
