saw a post on Reddit about how someone fell for a Twitter post thinking the picture was real, when it was generative. and the comments are saying the post's comments are from other bots. So it's bots posting things for other bots to give the appearance of people enjoying the generative content.
...I'm gonna stick to Mastodon and Station lmao.

Do you think that people are training LLM's on smolweb networks? It seems like it'd be trivially easy to do... to train, replicate, and impersonate. It's not like there are capchas in this protocol... What guarantee is there that a bot isn't posting on Station? (if so, welcome, what's it like being a bot?) 路 3 months ago
@breakfast_champion Almost got me LOL 路 3 months ago
Saying "it's bots" is just a discursive move to delegitimize whatever is being said, or is being depicted. If you posted something on Twitter in 2020 that wasn't 100% against The Orange One, someone would declare you to be a "Russian bot"", and the Feds would get your account banned. Now that normies are falling for offensive AI generated content, the victims are "AI bots" just so we don't have to consider the hell scape we actually live in. Of course, in 6 months the cover story will be true: normies cannot distinguish reality from bullshit, which is well established wisdom from the beginning of the advertising age.
