how then does this one not remember
how even the softest of the kind will turn
to ravage its own wounds?

they said such action was contagious among animals
how one would spin surprised and the others spun to follow
how one would frenzy upon itself - and the others filled its hollows

how one would devour anger filled, leaving nothing of itself
how the herd would all attend

how then does this one not remember
the frenzy of the man, he we exalted furthest
from basest of the breed, how his wounds were shallow
how his madness slight spread strangely savage 
before we all joined in?
