January 6, 1995 

for with love I once found everyone
but feared another - each the other turned
away - spat in hands - sealed - torn asunder
one might wonder what to find - or why the wound
nor bind to stop the flow now flood

for love I undefined my world - I wonder
that this function may prove unreal - that I might
care and call it love - for you or I
not a miasma of disgruntled cacophony
spreading ourselves on tied

for fear I waste myself - away wrapped
twined ball of you not I beyond my world
wrapped each folding chance to be for fear
the other more lethal than the one
own words to stop - or wind

for with fear I have destroyed myself a world
hidden away with music I can see through the glass
but never touch as much as I might try
to see you - or I - another side taken
love was for the touching they said - and I? 

believed with fear in a world crushed into myself
one way to be - but nothingness - does steal breath
this tired I see nothing less in dead friends lost
this breath drawn at cost - and friends? 
their love - their dust - was never damage won
