Door was not secure in Limerick city burglary

Sandra Quinn, 15 Jun

IN THE early hours of Sunday, June 9, between 5am and 6.30am, there was

a burglary at City Campus on Lord Edward Street.

A man in his forties discovered that his accommodation had been entered

and a number of items, including clothes, alcohol and cash were taken.

Gardaí determined that the door to the accommodation was not secure and

the burglar walked in and helped himself.

A suspect has been identified, but the stolen property, which came to

the value of about €700 euro may never be recovered.

Gardaí advise people to lock all windows and doors and be vigilant

about security.
