Naas gardaí launch investigation after man found dead in house in Sallins

Gardaí in Naas are currently investigating the circumstances

surrounding the death of a man in his 30s, which occurred following an

incident at a residence in Sallins in the early hours of Sunday.

Gardaí and emergency services were alerted shortly after 3.15am

regarding an incident at a residential property in Sallins Park.

Upon arrival, a man in his 30s was discovered with fatal injuries.

He was pronounced deceased at the scene a short time later.

A man in his early 20s was arrested at the property and is currently

being detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984, at a

Garda Station in County Kildare.

A Garda statement added: "The body of the deceased remains remain at

the scene, which has been preserved for examination by the Garda

Technical Bureau.

"The local Coroner and office of the State Pathologist have been

informed, and preparations are underway for a post-mortem examination.

"A senior investigating officer (SIO) has been appointed to lead the

inquiry, and an incident room has been established at Naas Garda

Station.

"Additionally, a Garda Family Liaison Officer (FLO) has been assigned

to keep the deceased's family informed of developments.

"The investigation is ongoing, and further updates will follow."
