Who am I and what's this site all about?

First off, if you don't find what you're looking for in what you're about to read you're welcome to email me directly using the site contact form.

This site is about my passion for getting the most out of life.

No, I'm one of those go-go-go types who has a million things on his or her plate. On the contrary, I actually have only a few things I really focus on and care about. I have a family and a home and a regular life just like a lot of other people. I have a job that pays the bills; and I have a couple of businesses I run on the side. I live well, exercise and eat right. I have friends and acquaintances from just about every corner of the globe.

From the time I was ten years old I've had only one thing in mind for what I ultimately want to accomplish in my brief time in existence: to have the means to do those things I want to do in life.

I didn't know exactly what it was I wanted when I was ten. I thought I did. I thought I wanted to have $400,000 in the bank. By the time I'd accumulated it I knew that wasn't really what I wanted out of my life. By that time I knew the money was only the means. The real payoff was in those things that brought the means and in the things I could do with it. The real payoff was in the game itself. That game is investing.

You see, whether you like it or not everything you do is an investment. That's because everything you do represents a choice between what you're doing and what you could be doing. My passion lies in making the best choices, the best investments. And that's what this site is about.

I can't promise to make you rich. If you're here looking for advice on which stocks to buy and sell today you'll probably come away disappointed. If you're looking for a framework of thought that will help you to accumulate wealth, then you might find a pearl or two here.

Just remember, it's not always about money.

Disclosure - nope, sorry. If you follow my advice you might get rich and you might not. I'm no expert. I'm like the person you know at the office or church or your kid's school who doesn't mind telling you what she thinks. Filter it through your own common sense meter and do with it what you will from there.
