Quote from BMJ OpenHeart Study on Omega-6 vegetable oils source:
The omega-6 fat linoleic acid should not be confused with conjugated linoleic acid found in pastured animal foods.
I had heard of CLA (conjugated linoleic acid) being used to possibly lower the risk of coronary artery disease, but I have to find studies on this. I presume CLA don’t have the oxidizing effect on low-density lipoproteins, or perhaps that’s what this singular mention in the entire study is getting at?
