it's easy to overlook in the moment just how easily even minor mistakes can have lasting consequences. if all goes as expected, a mistake 3 odd years in the making will come to an end tomorrow. not because I have actually done anything about it, rather because it has reached its natural expiration date (a couple months sooner than expected actually.)
