Has anybody bought the reMarkable writing tablet? I'm so tempted, but it's also so expensive! Any thoughts?

@ruby_witch you right, is more for devs, but is a good hardware... the problem with Pine64 is they decided to be bonded with Manjaro and therefore they are unable to ship it with something usable... 路 1 year ago

@freezr The Pine64 tablet ships with literally no software right now, not even an OS. It's a dead object until you breathe life into it with a Linux distro of your choice, but you'll basically have to write all of the drivers for it yourself. Sooooo, if that's appealing...

Don't get me wrong, it looks like a great piece of hardware! But it's actually been in "early access" for a couple of years now and there's still no official OS or drivers for it yet. I think the reMarkable device looks a lot more user-friendly. :) 路 1 year ago

@ruby_witch I鈥檒l let you know if I get one, but not sure I can get over the price tag. It does look super cool though! 路 1 year ago

I haven't, but I've always been super excited for e-ink devices like this as a lower power draw solution. The reMarkable definitely seems like it has a lot of potential! I hope if you get one you tell us about your thoughts on it. :) 路 1 year ago
