Hey, I'm still alive! But I'm again in a situation where I haven't updated the blog properly in 2 months and now don't remember much about the games I'd finished back then. So this will be just some quick thoughts.

Highway Blossoms

What is this game?

The gold rush has struck the west for a second time. Highway Blossoms is the story of Amber, a girl trying her best to be alone on the road until she stumbles upon a young hitchhiker and the journal of a prospector from long ago.

Written by the same developers who later did Heart of the Woods, which I talked about before on the blog.

Did I enjoy playing it?

It's a fine yuri visual novel. Fairly straightforward romance plot featuring a cool-headed dark-haired girl and a happy-go-lucky blonde girl, going on an adventure together. Despite being slightly formulaic, the characters were likeable and the novel was written well enough for me to eventually get through it (and I don't often have the patience to sit through a 6-hour-long visual novel). Setting was somewhat interesting, with some fun locations being explored. Neat VN if you are into yuri, but I don't have too much to say about it 2 months after finishing it. *7/10*

Playing it on Linux, or low-spec hardware?

I don't remember having any problems with the Linux version. It's a standard Ren'Py visual novel so it can be played on just about anything.
