Happy June!
On the first day of June, it's a good time to reflect on the past season and make intentions for the coming one.
For me, looking back is the harder part. I'm less used to that; I'm always thinking about the future, but spending time on the past is less obviously useful.
These past few months have been:
- Full of schoolwork to the point of unbalance
- Good for my relationship with my partner; we've developed better honesty and intimacy, and spent more time together (partially because I now own a car)
- Politically unusual (my opinions on certain topics have been in a lot of flux)
- Full of colder weather which I'll be missing as summer begins in earnest
My intentions for the next few months are:
- Stay productive (esp helping family) even when I have the option to not be
- Continue to work on my relationship and help my partner become more comfortable talking about difficult things
- Make enough money to save some
- Write in my journal
- Spend lots of time outside and going for walks/hikes
- Play my violin more, and maybe start learning the guitar
What I love about June
I love the loud frogs at the pond croaking away every night. The crickets, too. I love the frequent swimming opportunities and strawberry season and the occasional lucky thunderstorm. I love the clear blue sky and the cool starry nights. I love the feeling that the whole summer is ahead of me.
