That's a shame, I get bored of movies that move too fast. Its hard to get invested. So I get what you mean.
I guess it depends on if you like indie films or not. I feel some of those will always be slower, but I won't be surprised if a lot of mainstream film try to be faster paced.
Hopefully the next movie you see will be better paced!
