Where I worked at the time in the 80s, I had access to a Sun System. This was a system the Company put up to give some employees access to the Internet.
I was granted access to it and use to log in from home using Coherent and Kermit. Kermit was set up to dial back so I would not get any phone charges.
My main activity was USENET and downloading all the Diskettes for Slackware :)
