i haven't grown up with snow, and i can't lay claim to living in a snowy environment for over a fortnight. i've only ever visited for holidays and such.
snow is a trade-off, to me; i miss the ambience of outside fireplaces at night in the stinging cold, and the necessity of daily hot chocolates which all-of-a-sudden tasted thrice as nice, but in the long-term i'm more comfortable with my endless access to beaches, and the persisting greenery amidst stress-relieving walks.
irritatingly, i'm yet to experience the concept of a snowy Christmas that i'm plagued by on American television, and i do wish i could personally relate to your blog post extract, but overall i reckon i'd prefer no snow at all over snow forever.
I don't blame you at all for the lack of snowy sentiment. If I had to choose, I'd also choose to be able to walk around without frostbite in the long term. Longing aside, my favourite season isn't determined but it's definitely not Winter. It's occurred to me, now that you've mentioned it, that I didn't even go to the beach this Summer! What was I doing?! lol
