Briain Kelly, 28 Dec
The run of poor weather this week isn’t over yet, as another yellow
weather warning has been issued for Galway today.
The status yellow wind and rain warning is in place for much of the west
and south coasts of Ireland throughout Thursday and into Friday morning.
Southwest to west winds will be strong and gusty at times Met Eireann has
said.
A combination of spring tides, large waves and strong winds may result in
some coastal flooding. Squally showers may lead to localised flooding.
The warning has been issued for Clare, Kerry, Donegal, Galway, Leitrim,
Mayo, and Sligo.
The weather warning is already in force today, and will be in place until
6am on Friday.
