Ellen Mary Birt (née Carey), 201 Glenravel Road, Cargan
The death has taken place of Ellen Mary Birt (née Carey), (late of 201
Glenravel Road, Cargan), 26th December 2023, (peacefully at home)
beloved wife of the late Patrick Hugh, much loved mother of Anne Marie
(Burrell), Vincent, Dessie, Seamus, Brendan, Clare (Mc Auley), Martin
and Declan and loving sister of the late Madge (Higgins) Ellen Mary’s
remains are reposing at her daughter Anne Marie’s residence, 197
Glenravel Road, Cargan, from where her funeral will leave on Thursday,
28th December at 2.20pm for 3.00pm Requiem Mass in Mary Queen of Peace
Church, Glenravel, burial immediately afterwards in the adjoining
cemetery. Deeply regretted by her sorrowing sons, daughters, sons in
law Joe and Gerard, daughters in law Marie, Mary, Anne, Ita, Agnes and
Colette, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and all the family circle.

Ann Burns (née Begley), 9 Hatmore Park, Derry
The death has occurred of the late Ann Burns (née Begley), 25th
December 2023, peacefully at Ardlough Care Home, beloved wife of
Brendan, 9 Hatmore Park, loving mother of Gerard and dear sister of
Berna, Jackie and the late Kathleen, Eileen, Jim, Liam and Patsy. Her
remains will be reposing in her home. Funeral from there on Thursday at
9.30am for 10o’clock Requiem Mass in St Eugene’s Cathedral. Interment
afterwards in the City Cemetery. Queen of the Most Holy Rosary pray for
her.
Marley Damron (née Palmer), formerly of Dunree Gardens, Creggan
It is with regret that the Palmer family wish to announce the death of
their dear sister Marley Damron (née Palmer). Formerly of Dunree
Gardens, Creggan. Marley died peacefully at her home in Seattle,
Washington on Friday, 22nd December. She was a beloved mother,
grandmother, sister and aunt and will be sorely missed by her family
and friends. May she rest in peace.
Charlie Grant, 13 Brookdale Court, Derry
The death has taken place of Charlie Grant, 22nd December 2023,
peacefully at Royal Victoria Hospital, Belfast, husband of the late
Estelle, loving father of Sean and Ciárán, partner of Tara, stepfather
of Ciaron, Naomi, Shannon, Coalie and Odhran, devoted grandfather of
Brooke, Callum, Maisie, Maebha, Ciaran, Reagan, Rowen and Conloach,
beloved son of Mary and the late Connie, cherished brother of Deirdre,
Edward, Ciaron, Lorraine, Connie and Mairead. Sadly missed by the wider
family circle. Funeral leaving 13 Brookdale Court on Wednesday, 27th
December at 11.30am to St. Joseph’s Church, Galliagh for Requiem Mass
at 12noon. Interment afterwards in the City Cemetery. Sacred Heart Of
Jesus Have mercy on his soul. Our Lady Of Lourdes intercede for him.
Victor King, Limavady
The death has taken place of Victor King, passed away peacefully at
Altnagelvin Hospital surrounded by his loving Wife and Family on 25th
December 2023. Much loved Husband Noeleen, Dear Brother of Elizabeth,
Alex, Lena, Marlene, Robert, Wilma, twin brother of Thomas, Jacqueline
and Martin. Also dear son of the late Joe and Jean and dear son in law
of Paddy and Kathleen McCloskey also a dear Brother in law, Uncle and
Great Uncle. The family home will remain private (Close friends and
family only) at this time and funeral arrangements will be updated.

The death has taken place of Mary Lagan (née McGilligan), Drumsurn,
died 25th December 2023. Mary (in her 95th year) peacefully at
Cornfield Care Centre dearly loved wife of the late Jim; much loved
mother of Rosemarie Harkin (Liam), Patrick (Christine), Kathleen Browne
(the late Francie), Eugene (Maria), Teresa Mullan (Anthony) and Colette
Meenan (Eddie); a much-adored grandmother and great grandmother and
dear sister-in-law of Annie McGilligan (Kilrea). Daughter of the late
Michael and Rose (née McIlvar) and sister of the late Johnny, Michael,
Tommy, Cissie (McGregor) and Jim. Family time 11.00pm to 11.00am.

at 12.15pm for 1.00pm Requiem Mass in St. Matthew’s Church, Drumsurn.

The death has taken place of Jason (Millsy) Mills, 25th December 2023,
suddenly at his home, 87 Foyle Crescent, Newbuildings, (surrounded by
his loving family in his 50th year) much loved husband of Lisa, devoted
father of Jack and Jimie, dearest step-dad of Jordan and Dylan, dearly
loved son of Margaret (nee McKittrick) and the late Don, a special
friend of Tyler, loving brother of Irene, Cindy, Sandra, Raymond and
