Derry man to face trial on series of drug charges

A man has been returned for trial to Derry Crown Court on a series of

drug charges.

Mark Kelly (47) of Old School Field in Drumahoe outside Derry appeared

at a preliminary enquiry at the local Magistrate's Court today.

He is charged with possessing cannabis with intent to supply on April

20 this year.

He is also charged with two counts of possessing the drug on the same

date.

It was accepted there was a case to answer and there were no contrary

submissions.

Kelly said he did not want to call any witnesses or make any statement

at this stage.

He was returned for trial to Derry Crown Court on January 25 and

remanded in custody.
