We're thinking of updating our food menu... What is your go-to dish past midnight?
The humble grilled cheese. Warm, satisfying and quick to make
I really love this music playing. ~bartender i must ask for your recommendations; maybe even a playlist or two to go with the food.
Speaking of which I have two choices of comfort food after midnight.
Option 1 (low energy) Quick and dirty instant noodles with soupy broth and an egg cracked into it
Option 2 (fueled by 2/3 am motivation) Meticulously cooked noodles and pan seared veggies.
Finely chop onions stirred in oil at medium heat until gloden brown. Add finely chopped garlic and one green chilly. Add in the seasoning powder and when the colour gets a bit richer pour in hot water. (This alone makes the broth/soup very very tasty and mouth watering) Let it boil and add in the noodles and allow it to simmer. Pop open an egg on top and cover it with the flame turned off. On the side you could boil and cook some roughly diced potatoes and carrot, take it out before its overcooked and toast them with butter or oil in a pan with salt to season. This with some lime juice or maybe some curd would pair well.
So in conclusion my choices are either noodles or pimped up noodles.
When it's super late in the evening, I'm always game for a falafel wrap with plenty of hummus, tahini, and crispy pickled veggies.
I like the menu of the chef at the Midnight dinner (the Japanese series). Specially the part, where the guest can bring the ingredients...
I sit at the bar and look at the item i picked from the floor. I kicked it against the bar-stool and it made some funny noise, that just fitted into the end of the tabla solo...
Its quite heavy peace of metal, shaped into a little spear...
It looks like it was not used.
How do you plan to show the menu ~bartender?
Pumpkin soup with spices. It would be nice!
I like this song, good choice on the jukebox.
Any pizza left? Cold pizza for breakfast? Always nice!
Well, it's 2 AM and I'm chowing down on some leftover curry and rice. The go-to is always the leftovers :)
