A clothing co-operative where nimble-fingered seamsters make affordable,

durable clothes with in all sizes and styles without exploitation of people or

the environment, all made in the store as needed. From behind a closed door,

you hear the chattering of a sewing machine, the snick of tailor's shears and

the hiss of an iron. The store is perfumed with a combination of the scents of

steamed cloth, sewing machine oil, ozone and lemon beeswax polished wood. A

lady in a shirtwaist and long skirt stands behind the counter sewing something

by hand.
