I was re-reading chapter two and this quote is really sticking with me. Like a good piece of slash fiction.
He had just called ugliness evil. So the simplest interpretation is that he is asserting that no one can make him deviate from nature.
To me this has the added meaning that no one can subvert anyone’s will unless they are complicit in the act.
But this only applies to the things under one’s control. ie In accordance with nature.
