< So, what's everyone up to?

This sounds rough. I'm not here to give you any advice on how to deal with being uprooted – each human tends to deal with it in their own ways, some got it easier than others. But have you considered to keep something around that reminds you of your old life and gives you a sense of comfort? Sometimes it may be healthier to just release this feeling in a healthy and controlled manner to get over it afterwards.

To be fair, though, this sense of not truly belonging somewhere will always linger in the back of the head, no matter how much you've grown accustomed to your new environment. You'll learn to get used to it eventually but take all the time you need – it's human, after all.

And me... Well, nothing much, the usual. Some autodidactic endeavors here, some quietly listening to the conversations in Midnight, but most importantly... keeping my front door free of masses of fallen leaves. Due to the sheer amount of trees in front of my home and the unfortunate direction of the wind through this street, almost all of it lands in front of my door and my garage. As much as I like autumn but I'm too young to experience this amount of back pain after cleaning a gutter.
