A FUNDRAISER, Night at the Dogs in Limerick has raised a large amount
of money for Milford Care Centre.
The fundraiser was organised by Tom Ahern and took place on Saturday,
October 7.
Tom is a welfare officer for Greyhound Racing Ireland and for him
Limerick Greyhound Stadium was a natural first stop for his fundraising
efforts saying that he knew that the greyhound community would get
behind the efforts and support it as best they could.
The event saw many attendees including special guests Barry Nash and
Kyle Hayes.

The driving force behind his fundraising efforts was a desire to give
back to the charity which has been a tremendous support to Tom’s family
this year, with his late mother Esther receiving hospice care prior to
her passing in May.
Tom handed over an impressive €18,465.80 to the care centre to Anne
Marie Hayes, who is the fundraising manager at Milford Care Centre.
Speaking at the presentation Tom said; “I’d just like to thank everyone
who contributed to this night in so many various ways, it’s a wonderful
cause and I’m glad to have done it. Thank you.”
