Ginger beer on the patio

~ropocl

Ginger beer... I'll take it on the patio please... you have a patio right?

Sometimes when I'm sitting in a meeting, hearing about how a team did a creative project that one wealthy group is doing to try and attract the attention of another wealthy group, I wonder if I'm in the right job. It's like I can feel my soul withering. I'm happy that these creative people are doing creative activities, but if it's only in service of capitalism, and not about self-expression, it feels gross.

I like beautiful things and spaces and experiences, but I feel like the creativity is undercut when the end product is being sold instead of shared, or when it's created for a persona and not a person.

I know I sound like a whiny socialist undergrad, but...

...sips drink and stares into the distance...

We do. Will be open until later October when the temperatures in Nightfall will start to go down by a lot.

It must feel strange when creativity becomes a tick box exercise. It's like removing the substance.

Here's your ginger beer!
