Far from resting on their laurels, the team behind the first brewpub in the Midlands have been making some exciting upgrades and additions since leaving the pandemic firmly in the rear view mirror.
To date this year, the brewery has been shortlisted for the Irish Quality Food and Drink Awards, Irish Made Awards and are also finalists in seven categories at the Midlands Hospitality Awards.
While their popular range of craft beers (and more recently sodas ) have proved popular both locally and further afield, the team have been working recently on a range of upgrades at their Custume Pier based premises where they operate a full bar and restaurant alongside their copper-clad craft brewery.
Most notably and building on their Gastropub of the Year Award from the RAI in 2019, Dead Centre have quietly rolled out a fantastic new menu under their Head Chef, Thyme Restaurant alumni, Jacek Grzadzielski.
While maintaining their famous pizza offering, Dead Centre Brewing now serve a range of outstanding comfort foods and casual classics like BBQ Ribs, Deep Fried Mac n’ Cheese Balls, Horan’s Pulled Pork Burger and a show-stopping Steak Sandwich.
“The whole concept is to create something spectacular out of the ordinary. All our dishes feature a unique element, a twist that takes a relatively standard dish to a whole new level, delivering flavour and texture not normally associated with casual dining. It’s exciting,” Jacek, commenting on the impressive new additions, said.
Dead Centre is open from 5pm Wednesday to Friday and from 12.20pm on Saturday and Sunday where brunch is available until 2.30pm.
