My city is in the midst of an extreme cold warning. -26C, -40 with the wind. It's 7:33 and blue hour, a little earlier than yesterday. The days are getting longer. Only by minutes, but it's something.
One dog's curled up on my armchair. The other on the bed upstairs. We have family in and presents under the tree and lots of baking, whisky, and port. I am blessed for this. I know that for some, Christmas is the most difficult time of the year. If that's you, spectral reader, I'm sorry. I hope the coming weeks are happy. I hope you get time for what you love. And I hope the new year brings us closer to a better world.
